Windows C Programming projects

Getting started with a Windows program is often the hardest part. Thankfully, there's loads of info out there on the web. Some information I found hard to locate so the object here is to fill a few gaps, to provide code examples from working programs to get you started. I welcome any and all comments, suggestions and offers of work.
